This campsite is perfect for a peaceful escape where you can disconnect from the stresses of modern life!
Where are you based?
The Wildings Campsite is the perfect retreat for those seeking tranquility in the heart of the Cotswolds. Located less than a mile from the charming Bourton-on-the-Water, also know as 'the Venice of the Cotswolds.'
Tell us a bit about you and the site?
Family friendly relaxed camping, old fashioned with no traffic on site meaning no slamming doors or constant cars coming and going. We have a farm shop with amazing coffees, iced teas, pastries to die for, a sweet shop and milkshake bar. We work with our locals to provide lots of local options but able to provide more everyday items as well. We also have a cookhouse; a fully fitted indoor kitchen for if the weather turns, we have books and family games in here too.
We are designed to tailor your own holiday, there is a little be for everyone here whether its tent camping, basic ‘I’ll bring all my camping bits’ glamping, or full on I’m going to need a bottle of Prosecco, bed linen and some food hampers, we can provide it and have it all ready on arrival for you
We know what its like to have small kiddos, you want them to be outdoors, you want them to explore a bit of nature but you also want a nice hot coffee, hot showers and flushing loos, we are here for you!
What type of camping is available?
We have a mix of everything to suit everyone! From tent camping to camping pods, tipis & yurts.
What facilities do you have onsite?
Plenty of flushing loos and showers, picnic tables, fire pits to hire, a BBQ hut to hire, 2 small play grounds BUT you wont find wifi here, we are trying to allow you to get back to nature! (Don’t panic though we are on top of a hill 4G and 5G are in plenty supply for those work emergencies)
What's the best thing to do on-site?
It depends... leave the children to play whilst you grab some supplies from our shop and relax with a book or use us as a base and explore The Cotswolds. We are right in the very middle of it!
What's the best thing to do nearby?
Bourton on the water is just a mile down the hill, there is a beautiful man made river (they moved the original many years ago to power the mills) with a flat pebble bed, its perfect for wading in on a hot day followed by fish and chips on the village green.
What's Your Top Tip for Making the Most of Your Stay?
Make the most of what’s here, not just what we can offer from all our local suppliers but we have Birdland, Hawkstone Brewery, Adam Hensons fFarm, Burford Wildlife Park, the Model Village, and lots of lovely local pubs nearby.

Hmmmmm My heart lives in Scotland in the Autumn so that’s my escape, a nice hill surrounded by heather and bracken a loch, maybe a little boat, fishing rod, several good books, a thick rug around me, my favourite people, my dogs and a responsible helping of whisky!
