After our latest adventure, we're thrilled to share an incredible campsite we recently visited in France...
Introducing... Huttopia Arcachon.
We've just spent four nights at Huttopia Arcachon and absolutely fell in love with it. Nestled in a little paradise of ocean, dunes, and pines away from the crowds, this campsite is truly a hidden gem on the west coast of France.
Open all year round, Huttopia Arcachon Campsite is set just a stone’s throw from Arcachon Bay. Whether you choose a grass camping pitch, or to stay in a Trappeur tent like we did, or maybe you’d prefer one of the fully equipped wooden chalets for maximum comfort, you’re guaranteed an awesome spot. You can enjoy the swimming pools, the shaded terrace of the Café-Comptoir, and there are summer activities for all the family. This is the ideal destination for an unforgettable holiday both for adults and kids.
What we’d recommend doing during your stay:
Explore the Ville d’Hiver (Winter Town) in Arcachon, a paradise of eccentric architecture, just a ten-minute walk from the campsite.
Savor a seafood platter in one of Arcachon Bay’s many oyster shacks. Indulge in oysters, prawns, and other shellfish, paired perfectly with a glass of white wine for an authentic local dining experience.
Visit Arcachon’s beautiful beaches, only a few kilometers from the campsite. We loved swimming in the sea and sunbathing on the sand.
Bring your kites! There are lots of places to fly kites with the coastal breeze, and our kids absolutely LOVED this, we spent hours doing it!

Cycling to Arcachon Plage for sandy fun, sea swims and a picnic.
The swimming pool at the campsite - it’s such a lovely decked area to chill out in, and there is a great little paddling pool for little ones too.
Getting a boat across to Cap Ferret for the day - a must do! We absolutely adored lunch out at Chai Bertrand with oysters, prawns and pate, washed down with a glass of wine with a stunning view.
