Introducing... Big Sky Hideaway!
Where are you based?
We’re just west of Boston, right in the heart of Lincolnshire, England.
Tell us a bit about you and the site?
We are Dave and Em, an adventurous duo who lived, worked and travelled all over the world before we started to put roots down in Lincolnshire. Em is a charity fundraiser and expedition leader, Dave is a travel writer and filmmaker who has broken a few random world records, like being the first person to skateboard across Australia and paddle board down the Mississippi.
Our site, the Big Sky Hideaway, is a renewables-powered basecamp for anyone who likes to spend time outdoors. We offer a variety of accommodation, from converted buses and Landpods to hammocks and tents in the camping meadow. We also have alpacas, because they’re lovely!
What's the best thing to do nearby?
We’re not far from sandy Lincolnshire beaches and a great kiddy friendly wildlife centre, but I’d say the best thing to do is stay on our site and just hang out in peace and quiet, feed the alpacas and lounge in a hammock.
Do you have any glamping options?
We sure do. Our American Schoolbus and YesBus double decker are unique places to stay, and we have two Landpods hidden away in Woodland too.
Is it good for kids?
Kids LOVE it at Big Sky!
Can you bring dogs?
We’re afraid not, only because new dogs really stress our alpacas out.
What’s your top tip for making the most of your stay?
Don’t make too many plans, schedules can ruin a holiday so go with the flow and go slow.
DREAM TIME... If we could hand you a magic carpet and a Bundle Bed to unroll anywhere, where would you go and why?
Ooooh! We kinda love our place, but if we had to be anywhere else it would be paddling down the Lower Mississippi. We run trips there every Autumn and the remote, sandy willow-covered islands make for the best wild camping. Bundle Beds would be right at home there :)
